Originally from Central Scotland, Chris is an experienced live & studio bass player having been gigging, recording and teaching professionally for over 15 years. A music graduate of Newcastle Performance Academy with a B.Mus (Hons) in Jazz, Popular and Commercial Music he has spent the majority of his professional career performing with leading function bands and theatre companies all over the UK & Europe. For the past 8 years Chris has also been acting bass player for Motown artist Martha Reeves & The Vandellas. Since he started playing with Martha in Dec 2012 he has been touring throughout the UK & Europe playing some of the most prestigious venues (London Palladium – part of the Royal Variety Show, S.S.E Hydro - Glasgow, The Jazz Café – London, The Blue Note - Milan, The Cavern Club – Liverpool, The Assembly Rooms – part of The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and many more…), festivals (Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Cross The Tracks, Festival No.6, Tramlines Festival, Black is Black Festival Madrid, and many more…..), TV shows (BBC’s The One Show) and also sharing stages with some of the biggest names in the industry (Brian Wilson – Beach Boys, Mary Wilson – The Supremes, Chaka Khan, Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbot, Seasick Steve, Ocean Colour Scene and many more).
